Bullet Colours

hi, I am currently trying to make a list with customized bullet images, but I had hit a snag. I know how to change the default bullet image, but I cant figure out how to change the secondary or tertiary bullets. Is there a way to do this or would I have to make a list class and set the class for the secondary lists?
