Anders Moen
Oh yeah, but I hate gimp...we use it at school, but believe it or not but I make better things in Paint than gimp :)But that's just my opinion about it...Vytas: it's worth a try if you haven't got the image yet. iyeru42
There's also Paint.NET for WinXP users. Believe me, GIMP has nothing on Photoshop (Nor does Paint.Net.)
vytas
Il try them both.
iyeru42
Quite frankly I like Paint.Net better, because all of the tools/etc. are in one window set. GIMPShop uses a window set, but the file menu for the topmost window doesn't do what the main gimp window does (the one with Xtns)
vytas
Does it have a gradient tool ?And layer effects ?
iyeru42
Does it have a gradient tool ?And layer effects ?Both Gimp and Paint.Net don't have the "blending effects" that Photoshop does, but it does have the type of blending you can use per layer (IE: Opacity and stuff like "Color Burn.") Both have filters for layers (don't use emboss like you would in Photoshop's blending options, because it'll make your image terrible.)GIMP Requires the GTK Environment, whilist Paint.NET only needs WinXP+.NET Framework 2. iyeru42
Is GIMP something similar to jasc paint shop pro.Because i hate that program.Actually, GIMP is more like Photoshop 4, but with extra menus on each window. (Photoshop 4 didn't have a windows set.)
