#Anchor Links not updating menu's active state.

Hello and...

 

aaahhhhh! I hope you guys can help!

 

When clicked, my fixed top navigation menu buttons cause the screen to almost move to the correct section of my one page website (bootstrap 3.2 with smoothscroll), yet, it stops literally 1px short of the area that would update the active state of the menu button clicked. put another way...

 

***what should happen!***

1. click "Contact us" menu button.

2. Screen moves to "Contact Us" section

3. active state of the "Contact Us" button updated to show it's active.

 

***what actually happens***

1. Click "Contact us" menu button.

2. Screen **almost** moves to "Contact Us" section (literally 1px shy)

3. menu button does not update to active state.

 

 

I have tried changing the padding and margins, but no change.

 

I should say at this point that smoothscroll.js is not working. Perhaps this is something to do with it but I know nothing about js.

 

can anyone help?

Need to see your code. Without it I'd say you have a css math error somewhere.
