wstrahan
I'm having trouble with a bit of css here. Pretty noob question but got to find out what's going on here and figured this was the best place to be pointed in the right direction. If you visit the following link: http://www.accentuat...ia.net/aMedia2/ Here you can see the works of my next website, the issue I'm having is when you make the window smaller all the content in the header-menu collapses and I can't seem to figure out how to prevent this. Help would be greatly appreciated! Here is what my CSS looks like so far: #header {margin: 0;padding: 0;width: auto;height:40px;background: url(images/headerBG.png) repeat-x;border-bottom: solid 1px #595959;border-top: solid 1px #595959;line-height: 40px;color: #FFF;font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif;font-weight: 600;text-shadow: 0px 1px 1px #353535; filter: dropshadow(color=#353535, offx=0, offy=1);}#header b {font-weight: 700;}#header img {margin: 9px 10px;float: left;}#nav {margin: 0;padding: 0;width: auto;height:40px;background: url(images/navBG.png) repeat-x;border-bottom: solid 1px #595959;-webkit-box-shadow: 0px 2px 2px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, .2); box-shadow: 0px 2px 2px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, .15);}#nav ul {margin: 0;padding: 0;font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif;font-weight: 600;text-shadow: 0px 1px 1px #353535; filter: dropshadow(color=#353535, offx=0, offy=1);}#nav li {margin: 0;display: inline-block;float: left;line-height: 40px;}#nav li:hover {background: url(images/navBGRollover.png);height: 40px;}#nav a {margin: 0 10px;color: #FFF;text-decoration: none;display: inline-block;}#nav img {margin: 0;padding: 0;line-height: 40px;float: left;}.navActive{background: url(images/navBGRollover.png);height: 40px;}#users {margin: 0;padding: 0;float: right;font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif;font-weight: 600;text-shadow: 0px 1px 1px #353535; filter: dropshadow(color=#353535, offx=0, offy=1);} Again, I'd really appreciate the help figuring out what I'm doing wrong. niche
Change width:auto; to a width or min-width in px. I don't know why, but that fixed the problem. I'm sure someone knows and will post the explanation shortly. Edited August 23, 2012 by niche

You collapse the screen space the nav compensates.

niche
Thanks DarkxPunk. That should've popped to the top of my mind, but didn't.
