  1. Man that is a creepy movie...those strange orange umpa lumpa's give me nightmare...lol...:)

<#>Thread Name Changed: Willy Wonka And the chocolate factory </#>:) i think the remake of the film was a complete waste of time with johnny depth. veruca "Daddy i want an oompal oompa nowwww"Dad: "Ok here you go oompaloompa.gif"
  2. What are you looking for?  Something that just creates images?  Like specify a size, background color, text color, font, text, etc?  It's really not too bad to make something yourself that does that, the GD library for PHP can do a lot.  You can even make your own Flash movies.

now i dont really need it, its now just the principle of finding it, and to ensure that i was not going mad
  3. im wrecking my brain by looking all over google :) and i cant find it for the love of godwho ever finds it will win this golden ticketwgt_a.jpgthe golden ticket lets you do nothing but be happy that you won it, i'd be greatful is this wonderful tool i was talking about is found.

  4. Are you sure it was on w3schools? i don't think i have seen it before.I have used these in the past though...http://cooltext.com/ButtonBrowse.aspxhttp://www.tomaweb.com/buttons.asp

im 100% sure i saw it here. i remember now, I was looking at a colour picker thing, where you clicked the form field you wanted to change colour and then you changed the colour using there intergrated colour chooser. Above that thing was some sort of text saying 'this is the same colour chooser we choosed for our button maker'. something along those lines
  5. Im sure i saw the button make on w3schools site but now i cannot find itit was in beta versionwhat it did is you typed in what you wanted the button to say eg HTML | Valid and the generator, generated the image for you, it was a handy thing to have but now ive lost the link, anyone know where i could find it?

  6. Yeah looks realy good, well done.I confused it with with the Nukleuz site, which is also in the music industry  :) The names are similar i had to check lol  :) Could be confusing for others too  :)Not sure why you didn't post it in the "Official Show Off Your Site Thread"

ah cr*p forgot about that thread il add it now
  7. Infact after looking at it again in a few diffrent browsers the advertise page dont work at all in Firefox middle part is just empty and then you carnt select any other page after.Works fine in IE and Opera.EDITI know why now it is the adblock extension on Firefox that is blocking the whole file that is suppossed to go in the iframe.

its not that much of a problem i hope not...maybe its because it has the word 'ad' in the url
  8. Couldn't you have used divs with overflow:scroll?

at the start i did have that, and my site has 3 email forms, because my free host didnt allow php, with the ability to send emails, i resulted to iframes. as i say once i have finally finished with the site na dthere is no way to improve i will attempt to play around with it again.
  9. Something is not working right matey after going on the advertise page I carnt go back to any other page.Parts of your site relys on javascript which is a bad idea as it is said 10% of people have it turned off.I also hate frames for many reasons and you have used iframes in the site. But yeah it is pretty cool looking site mate.  :)

strange your having the problem with the advertise page, first i have heard of it. it might be because of the host im on, once its finalised then ill think about paying hosting.javascript seemed the most feisable way to achieve what i wanted at the sides of the site. flash was an alternative but slowed the page loading timei think with my site the use of iframes work becuase i prefer sites that have the site in the full window without scrolling down. there are positives and negatives about iframes...
  10. i made my decision up and i changed the site and had it redesigned in tablesthe new link is http://medussa3.atspace.comthe w3c may say that tables are for data only and not layouts but in my opinion if the site works and does its job i think its good enough. dont down grade the site because it was designed in layouts please rate the site according to navigation, user friendly etcim also currently working on getting the style sheet to change inside the frame aswell, so that should be not much of a problem

  11. that site definatly stands out from the rest of the tutorial sites, the layout is nice and clean no in your face pictures and great colour scheme. top marksi'd recommend using www.atspace.com to host your site temporarily no ads etc loadsa space. i prefer to see working examples, but by going on what i can see the site is looking good.

  12. Ultimately what it boils down to in the end, regardless of what anyone says you should do, is the question does it work.If it works (and hopefully validates) and you and your client are happy then that is all that matters.Sometimes at work I need to just make it work...now! So I think about what is involved, how to make it somewhat reusable (if it can be), and balance between maintainability and a reasonable timeframe.

im sure thats exactly what i wanted to here, in my case when i have made this site for this club, they have never had a website before. Here is the specifiction they gave me:"Medussa NightClub has recently changed management, with a new change of management we would like a new site. We would love it if users can send there club bookings online."Thats exactly what the site does. When i was given my brief by them i had absolutly nothing to work with, no colours previos layout or even a logo, so i think with me making them a site which looks like this http://medussa3.atspace.com is pretty good in my opinion. (btw its not the finished site, just basic layout)
  13. But the point is if they can beat MS in court they will go after the other browsers too because FireFox and the others work similarly when it comes to plugins.

ahh very true actually its only a matter of time, firefox and the rest of the browsers are absolutly tiny compared to monoply microsoft. dont you think adobe- Macromedia would be a bit annoyed about this though? there users not being able to view there products to there full potential.my adivce enjoy flash whilst you still can.p.s scott did you get my email?
  14. (before everyone jumps down my throat) would i be right in saying that if tables and css are implemented correctly and used together in an effective way to create an excellent layout would it be good to use them. maybe my orignal topic question was not right. In using tables i would say but having the framework of the site, thee css should be used for the styles and positioning of the table

  15. Finally i have found out why i have to click on stuff to activate it. i was thinking it was my internet explorer settings but have finally found out its not just me.i thought i was the only one
