  1. Although this question doesn´t belong here, I hope someone can answer it! I urgently need a new computer (mine isn ´t function good anymore and it´s of 2006).However, I don´t know much of the inside! What computer(s) do you suggest? P. s. Please keep in mind that this is Argentina and not the USA, so they won´t have the latest models! Eduard Lidwww.eduardlid.net

  2. Is it necessary to use the "save for web and devices" function in photoshop when saving out images for the web? I'm making a portfolio website and when I save out the images of my work using "save for web and devices" the colors appear dull. When I just save them out the regular way ("save as..."), the colors appear correct in my browser, and in some cases the file size is smaller than the ones that were saves out with "save for web and devices". Is this function meant to be used for saving out photographs for the web? Thank you!
I read your thread just now!Yes, it certainly is necessary! Instead of a psd file, you´ ll have a PNG or GIF file! Those files can be read by every browser!
  3. That's literally the second "I'm too tied" I've read here tonight. You need to understand, that failure to demonstrate minimal effort will subject you to criticism regardless of circumstances . Once you get that reputation, your stock will go down. Surely you know that. You must consistently meet us at least part way. It's one of the unwritten rules of all coding forums.
Fortunately in ´real´ life there aren´t computers!
  4. oh yeah that old excuse, yet! you were'nt tired enough to start up pc, log on post question. Tell me are you even capable of editing the size of an image by youself?
I hope that all the moderators understand that such a reply makes me very angry!

  5. Guess you must have tired all the other times you posted without first checking the tutorials first then, hah! or you just could not be bothered and just wanted to be spoon fed, and do your well recognised favourite of Copy and Paste, without actually learning a thing.
Before you prejudge more I´ll give you the reason: I had to walk - with my walker - for 2 hours!
  6. You didn't get a word of what they were saying, did you? Please stop thanking people before you solve your problem. Or am I being "pre"-judiced, and unlike previous times, this time you did solve your problem?
Problems solved! (and thanks to dsoneuk I knew where to find the solution!)
  7. Maybe this is what you need: <!DOCTYPE html><html><body><p>An image:<img src="smiley.gif" alt="Smiley face" width="32" height="32" /></p><p>A moving image:<img src="hackanm.gif" alt="Computer man" width="48" height="48" /></p><p>Note that the syntax of inserting a moving image is no different from a non-moving image.</p></body></html>
Thanks! However, I managed. Tomorrow you´ ll find it on my website!
  8. .Gif file is a sequence of images, put together to become animation. I dont think you need to know programing, when creating .Gif file, except you want to create flash.
I don´t mean programing ((you know I´m not good in it!), but like Adobe Creative Suits, Adobe Elements, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
  9. use an img tag.
As you replied, I´ve a question: You know this is made with Photoshop. I intend to download another programm from Adobe.Q: Is it better to know 1 programm (very) good or can I better know various programms?
  10. If you really think that it would be easier for you to learn Flash, and the client asks for it... why would it not be a good idea? Most of us wouldn't really be able to assist you with Flash questions, but if the point is to get some income by something that you can do yourself, and that something is Flash, so be it - go for it.
    Ok, many thanks!
  11. You can't honestly say that until you've tried learning it. How do you know how easy or difficult it is if you haven't tried it? Just because it looks easy doesn't mean it is easy. And vice versa. I did something in Flash CS 3 Your circumstances have nothing to do with the relationship between HTML and Flash. Whether your circumstances are good or bad, Flash is still far more complicated than HTML. Certainly it does! HTML I learned (?) at places where I couldn´t concentrate! Sure. If that's what the job postings are asking for. It can't hurt, anyway.
  12. Flash is much more difficult than HTML and Javascript. If you can't handle HTML and Javascript, you won't be able to learn Flash.
For me the way in which Flash is written (more attractive examples) is easier to learn!Besides, you can´t compare it to HTML, because my circumstances have changed dramatically! But that wasn´t my queston! The question is: Is it a good idea?
  13. As you maybe know is it very important for me to have work. I still receive money of my family, but it isn´t enough! In job ads they often ask Flash! Is it a good idea to download a try-out version of Flash, learning it and put some examples on my website (www.eduardlid.com)? Eduard LidMAC OS 10.4

  14. Now that you mention it I'd bet money he's got the wrong ID. Unfortunately I'd find no takers for that bet. :) Go ahead Eduard and post your <IMG> code.
