Is CSS 4 gonna be really strict?

Hey everybody!Just wondering...when you check your CSS documents if their valid, it says &profile=css2 (or some other number), and this displays the version of CSS it checks. Well, I tried to put in profile=css4 and here's the result. Can't even make links :SOr is this just because the version 4 isn't "out" yet?

I guess element selectors and existing propertyes are defined as being part of "the core" of CSS. And pseudo classes (alongside @rules I guess) are defined separately. Scince version 4 isn't even a concept yet, the validator team hasn't defined any such pseudo classes and therefore you get those errors. But honestly, I'm surprised you're actually having some valid CSS. I would have expected the validator to say something like "unknown version. The latest available (CSS3) selected instead").
