Dug
Hi all,Ok I've never ever experienced this error before so I thought here would be the best place to ask.Just got my site up and running in ASP.NET, and it's very important to me to validate it against W3C, but when I try to validate it, it comes up with the error: 500 Can't connect to www.douglasmcgregor.co.uk:80 (Bad hostname 'www.douglasmcgregor.co.uk')This is really strange, cause the domain definatley exists - I'm using it perfectly on the site and everything's working - surely there would be an email from the hosting company if there was a problem with it, or it would say something on the control panel. This is the most bizarre error I've ever come across!! Any thoughts?CheersDug
justsomeguy
There might be a problem routing from the validator.w3.org server to your server. You might want to send your host an email and have them do a traceroute from your server to validator.w3.org to see where the problem is.
boen_robot
I don't know about the rest of your site, but I was able to validate your main page.
Synook
Maybe the validator's server was at that moment receiving too much traffic.
