proxy hosting

I want to host my proxy site on gigacities.I uploaded the php file to the server.(index.php)my url is http://crackzsl.gigacities.net when we typed the above url in the browser it automatically goes to index.html page.(home page)then I deleted the index.html file and replaced with php proxy scripts (index.php) with the intention that it loads-automatically as in index.htm But it's not happened.Please tell me the solution for keep index.php file as the web site's home page.

Create a file in your home directory called ".htaccess" with the following contents:

DirectoryIndex index.php index.html

If that doesn't work, rename or delete index.html.

I tried to create .htaccess file but it returns with the error message Error: filetype not allowedDirectory: /4 files, 0 directories
