ttony21
I was just wondering why w3schools didn't seem to mention XHTML 1.1 (module-based XHTML) anywhere? Isn't that the current W3C recommendation or is XHTML 1.0 still the standard?
justsomeguy
Really nothing is a standard, they are all just recommendations. You're not required to use anything, it's just recommended that you do. I'm not sure about browser support for XHTML 1.1 though, that would be the indication of whether or not it would be a good idea to use at this point. Synook
IE doesn't support the XHTML 1.1 MIME type (its application/html+xhtml, and IE will ask you to download files with that MIME type).
ttony21
Oh I guess that makes sense then, I was having some troubles getting the MIME type to work so I guess XHTML 1.0 is best for now hm alright thanx just wasn't sure about that.
