Natechs
Since both HTML and XHTML are getting a revamp or something to that extent, which would you rather learn? HTML 5 for me.
Ingolme
It looks like HTML 5 is dominant at the moment. But I'll end up learning both of them for cnvenience, when the time comes. At the moment I'm waiting for a full specification for either of them and for full browser support.
boen_robot
I'll probably end up learning both, but as far as usage goes, I'd much rather use XHTML 2.0... when it gets supported that is. I wouldn't use HTML 5.0 just because of the "fancy" elements like <header> and <footer>, which I must say don't make much sence to me. I like the idea of XHTML 2.0's <nl>, which I'm not sure if HTML 5.0 has copied. One has to wonder why <nl> after <menu> though. And why was <menu> deprecated? 23.12.2012
Well... you don't have to learn them, because they're not a new beginning. Just the additional tags (I don't use the XHTML 1.0 at its full value, and I'd rather learn CSS3, than wasting my time on some (X)HTML tags)
