Ingolme Posted September 6, 2008 Share Posted September 6, 2008 They have programmed an application on the server side (most likely with some CGI language) that reads text and creates sound files.It would probably have a whole library of syllables and take them according to the received text.You can use Java or Flash to make microphone communication using sockets to connect to an application on the server. aspnetguy Posted September 7, 2008 Share Posted September 7, 2008 Java is very powerful but it can be confusing getting started and getting setup especially since there are a million frameworks out there for Java.Java is a lot like C# but the environment is more complicated, IMO.
