Typing Text And Using Return Key Wysiwyg

I am using Joomla, but I've noticed that it happens elsewhere.When I type text into a wysiwyg editor, and use the return button to dropdown to the next line, it leaves a large gap.How do I make that gap smaller. It almost looks double spaced or something. It seems silly to have to use line breaks for every new sentence. What am I doing wrong?For instance here if I use the return key the sentence drops like normal to the next linelike this.But in the WYSIWYG editor it looks more like this?

It probably is creating a new paragraph element each time you press return.
