Different "go Back" Buttons

Im trying to do "go back" button with<input type="button" onclick=" " value="Go back"> and i found different ways on javascriptself.back()history.back()history.go()what is the differens?? and why are some codes kicks me to:- last other site?- last other url?Im writing on php and my url is the same most or the time

There's a go back button on the browser, or you can hit Alt+left...seems like an unnecessary obstacle

Probably the most reliable method is history.go(-1);
