ravenshade
I know that W3 don't exactly approve of moving images, but I wanted something similar to a marquee that I can customize, to make small images move across the screen.Does anyone know exactly where I should be looking? CSS? HTML? (I'm trying to avoid jScript if possible)
thescientist
an animated gif? I think there's a font property called marquee, but it could deprecated by now (or just severely frowned upon! haha)
ravenshade
Well I know there was a marquee tag issued by microsoft...Microsoft: the web should be this way..W3C: Not a chance. As such they don't like it, but I will take a look at the font property for it. If it's CSS then it shouldn't be deprecated just yet...and that's if it works with images

jlhaslip
Blinky/Flashy stuff is an accessibility issue. Vision impaired users are sometimes thwarted by them. They are not recommended or preferred on a web site. The W3C does not recognize the marquee tag for a good reason. They sux. ravenshade
Well that's what I mean, i don't want it to be a blinky flashy issue, I just want a slow scrolling height: 50px; bar across the screen to show small images/links. I might just do a standard fixed image for now though
