skaterdav85
I'm trying to get the headers of the page I'm visiting using get_headers(), but I get this warning and I'm not sure what it means. Is this a problem with the way im using the get_headers() function or is this a PHP configuration I'll need to do. Btw, Im writing my php within Wordpress using a plugin that lets me do that.Warning: get_headers(http://mysite.com/wordpress/?page_id=3) [function.get-headers]: failed to open stream: Unable to find the socket transport "ssl" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP? in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/wordpress/include_files/rec/mypage.php on line
justsomeguy
You may need to enable the OpenSSL extension.
skaterdav85
Ok I'll look into that. So what exactly is OpenSSL? Can I only retrieve headers for non-secure URLs by default?
justsomeguy
If you want to use the SSL protocol in PHP then you need support for it, OpenSSL is one library that provides support.
