Mesden
http://sc2x.net/upload_file.phpTry viewing this page in Internet Explorer, then try viewing it in Google Chrome. The website is a mess in Google Chrome, but it looks as it should in Internet Explorer. Is there a way to make it look the same on all Browsers..?EDIT: Nevermind. Figured it out. Took a little while but I found out what was wrong. wirehopper
Is there a way to make it look the same on all Browsers..?There probably is, but I strive for 'equivalent' and 'functional'. They're more cost effective.Validating web pages is an excellent investment: http://validator.w3.org/
Howdy_McGee
It looks fine in my Chrome Browser. Internet Explorer is pretty garbage when it comes to building websites IMO, sometimes it can be hard to make everything look good between I.E. and some Mac Browsers. jeffman
Don't turn this into a platform thing. Firefox, Safari, and Opera work virtually the same on both platforms. It's an Explorer thing. And you are correct, Explorer often does not behave the way the other browsers work. Becoming a mature developer means learning the many ways in which the differences can be compensated for. Many techniques can lead to the same results. You just need to learn the ones that work in all browsers. The best thing to do is to test one small change at a time in both browsers. That is, don't write a hundred lines that look great in Chrome, and then suddenly test it in IE. You'll never know which of those hundred lines is the problem. When you do experience a difference, try something new. If that doesn't work, come here with a specific question. I mean a question about floats or margins. Not just "I have a mess."
RobberBaron
They look exactly the same to me. Also, you should update your version of jQuery, because this one is causing errors.
