Synook Posted January 13, 2011 Share Posted January 13, 2011 Are you sure you've set your locale correctly? Note that 'alphabetic' is determined by the current locale. This means that in i.e. the default "C" locale, characters such as umlaut-A (Ä) will not be converted.You may also want to try http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mb-strtolower.php.P.S. what character is that anyway?
