Twango
Hi, I have NO idea how to do this.I know for the php part, I'd simply need$message = "Message here"but for the AJAX i have NO clue.I'd want to have, say, index.html or index.php (doesn't matter at all)I'd want the $message to load in to a little floating div at the top of my page.I have no clue how to do this. Thanks
justsomeguy
Go through the ajax tutorials to get started. PHP isn't necessary unless the message changes.
Synook
AJAX isn't necessary either, unless the message changes.
[dx]
Hi,I found this good topic name for asking this question, and to not open new topic, I'll ask here.I understand how AJAX works, and checking about auto update etc. Also I know you must use javascript's timeout to send command several seconds, or so.And you can see it in console. But there are some pages which are doing auto update of page, but there's no sending request to server with javascript. And I'm wondering how to do it?Regards
justsomeguy
If it's not sending a request then all of the data is defined inside Javascript already. If you have a particular example online, we can explain what they're doing.
