chokk
Instead of displaying smileys all posts on this forum (with smileys in them) display the following code: (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fool.gif) This happens in all browsers and is also happening when I am not logged in. What could be causing it?
Ingolme
Maybe you somehow disabled smilies in your forum settings (I don't know if that's possible, I'm just speculating).A browser might also be designed to display the URL of an image if the image doesn't load, but no standards compliant browser would do that since it should be displaying the content of the alt attribute.Edit: Hmm, if it happens when you're not logged in and you've tested several browsers then the previous explanations fail. The only other explanation I can think of is that a proxy is doing that before serving the page to you.
chokk
It may be a DNS issue. I noticed when I'm at home and have no alternate DNS configured the images display correctly. Weird!
