son Posted August 23, 2011 Share Posted August 23, 2011 I get the error message:Warning: mysqli_connect() [function.mysqli-connect]: (HY000/2002): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'when I try to connect to a hosted database.Looking so far through the help I could find online, the suggestions refer to changes in server settings, a thing I cannot change.
