justsomeguy
You need to open it with a URL that begins with HTTP, and the server needs to support PHP.

justsomeguy
If you were opening the file with an HTTP URL in the browser, and your server has PHP installed and configured correctly, then it would work. Having PHP installed isn't enough, you need a web server like IIS or Apache, and it needs to be configured to use PHP. Double-clicking on a file to open it doesn't work, that's not an HTTP URL. What server are you using? How did you install PHP?
