Python input() function

If I test the input() function in try it window using example it works however, if I type my own code with input() function I receive (this example is just edited w3schools example changing the variable name):

your link appears to be invalid. what are you using to test your code? are you using the "try it" window or a text editor or the official python IDLE? if its the "try it" window its probably a developer problem, but if your using a text editor it could be a faulty feedback system.

Testing in the "try it" window.  Looks like a w3schools.com issue but not sure how to contact them to confirm.
