Why is W3C Validation Important

To ensure cross browser compatability. And by "cross browser" I refer also to compatability with Browsers that are not invented yet. A valid CSS with no hacks that works with all of today's browsers is also going to work with future ones. Invalid CSS may be treated differently across browsers, so validation is only the first step of compliance.
