Hall
Hi Not sure that this is the right forum, but try anyway. I have just tried changing my URL from b2ctest.aposave.com to aposave.com/travelclinic. Now I can not acces my admin site, as it comes with this message: 404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. I just made a copy of the site so is there anyway that I can get access to that and recreate the page using my back-up?
dsonesuk
The trouble is wordpress uses an absolute url, this url is used within content, configuration, that is stored in the database. You have to use a program, or if advanced enough write a php script to look through all tables to replace the old URL with the new URL. update to this issue. https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Changing_the_URL_directly_in_the_database NOTE: make backup, also it might take time for all the url's to change to new address Edited March 28, 2018 by dsonesuk
