  1. Yeah. Select every frame and right click, then choose cut frames. Choose Insert > New Symbol and choose movie clip from the three choices, name it what you want.Cick on the first frame of the symbol you are in and right click. Choose paste frames. There you go! It's worth it to mention that all the frames you cut will still be there on the main timeline, they will just be blank frames. Also, in case you don't know, all you have to do is open your movie clip from the library.

    ^ yer that would work!You could decrease frames per second...wait that wouldnt work :)I guess Kasdraven has it again :)
  2. Hi,Thank you. I got that problem fixed. I dont know I downloaded the full package provided from adobe website - Flash 8 Professional version(Trial), and I had to download two times, one in IE, and it didnt work, then in Firefox, which worked but somehow goes to the Flash 8 opening but nothing happens after that. Then found out that flash.exe was running in my windows task manager, and I had to kill that process, then it is working. Something weird....but worked at last.

    Glad It Worked :)I live on Flash and im sure after using the Trial version you will consider buying the full version!Expensive but SO worth it!
  3. I downloaded the trial version of Flash and it downloaded everything but not able to open. Not able to figure out what may be the problem. I even restarted my computer but no luck....

    What is the file extention of the file your trying to open?Ive never downloaded the trial version but im guessing it saves as an .exe or .zip file.If its a .zip MAKE SURE you have extracted the file using Windows Extraction Wizard or WINZip http://www.winzip.com/If your using a Mac try http://www.stuffit.com/mac/index.html (Also available for Linux & Windows!)This might help.Did you download the Flash 8 PLAYER? IF you did this is not the Flash 8 Program this is the Software enables you to watch flash movies created in Flash 8 Downwards!Further Questions PM me or go to http://www.adobe.com/support/service/downloads.htmlEd
  4. Hello guys, may i ask you how to use flash as preloader for another flash?

    Hey dude :) now umm...right this depends what your trying to do!Are you making a flash website? If so make the pre loader one fla and swf and the main site another fla & swf
    loadMovieNum ("nameofswf.swf", 1);

    That code might work I dont know...only ever tried it once :S

  5. All you need to do to bend lines is after you create the line, click on the black arrow tool.  Put the cursor in the middle of the line until you see a little curve underneath the arrow, then all you have to do is just bend the line as much as you want.

    or for instance if you wanta bend a circle in a spercific place do the same but hold Ctrl + Drag :)

  10. Ummm yer :) Make sure your using .wav or .mp3 files first (I dunno if you can use others :))I havnt ever had problems with sounds :)helpo.jpg^ Flash Help - Might have some answers!!

    Importing soundsYou place sound files into Flash by importing them into the library for the current document.NOTE When placing a sound in the Timeline, you place it on a separate layer. For more information, see Adding sounds to a document. You can import the following sound file formats into Flash:WAV (Windows only) AIFF (Macintosh only) MP3 (Windows or Macintosh) If you have QuickTime 4 or later installed on your system, you can import these additional sound file formats:AIFF (Windows or Macintosh) Sound Designer II (Macintosh only) Sound Only QuickTime Movies (Windows or Macintosh) Sun AU (Windows or Macintosh) System 7 Sounds (Macintosh only) WAV (Windows or Macintosh) Flash stores sounds in the library along with bitmaps and symbols. As with graphic symbols, you need only one copy of a sound file to use that sound multiple ways in your document. If you want to share sounds among Flash documents, you can include the sounds in shared libraries. For more information, see Working with common libraries. To use a sound in a shared library, you assign the sound file an identifier string in the Linkage Properties dialog box. The identifier can also be used to access the sound as an object in ActionScript. For information on objects in ActionScript, see Using sounds with Sound objects.Sounds can use considerable amounts of disk space and RAM. However, MP3 sound data is compressed and smaller than WAV or AIFF sound data. Generally, when using WAV or AIFF files, it's best to use 16-bit 22 kHz mono sounds (stereo uses twice as much data as mono), but Flash can import either 8- or 16-bit sounds at sample rates of 11, 22, or 44 kHz. Flash can convert sounds to lower sample rates on export. For more information, see Compressing sounds for export.NOTE Sounds recorded in formats that are not multiples of 11 kHz (such as 8, 32, or 96 kHz) are resampled when imported into Flash. If you want to add effects to sounds in Flash, it's best to import 16-bit sounds. If you have limited RAM, keep your sound clips short or work with 8-bit sounds instead of 16-bit sounds.
    That help?To make the girls hair swing maybe create a movie clip of the hair swaying it and adding it to the main animation in a layer?? :blink:
