  1. When we have enough, lol I think a maximum of four or five votes in one poll is far from accurate to all our members' opinions though.
  2. If you would use msPaint, you can't check what hexcode a certain color is, unfortunately. Other programs though. But with paint you do can check what RGB() value you could use, those are also allowed online. So you would not need to download a certain program to check a color to match backgrounds, paint can do it already
  3. Erm, lol.Maybe a very minor problem in the regular expressions internal for this forum, that checks when to replace that sign by its HTML entity.
  4. If you correct language, then correct it correctly [*Edit:]I think he means "or" anyway, he asked the whole sentence even though he didn't know only one word. So either a word or a sentence. :)And "well" sounds better to me in this sentence, though "good" is fine too.Second, "of" is the Dutch (or belgium) translation of the english "or", and those two letters are practically above each other. So it is not a very uncommon made mistake by Dutch speaking forummers. But we are I think a bit too detailed on nothing here.
  5. Haha lol RJ Please recheck your own correction, you still don't have it 100% The bold one you both forgot, and the blue one is not tipically wrong
  6. Cheers vti :)Welcome to the forums, have fun and participate in anything you like Don't hesitate to ask questions if you have them, and try to help others if you want
  7. Which is me, mostly I share a webhost with vti, so we communicate very often. We are even thinking of something cooperative between our sites, but that are future things.Hannes, could you introduce yourself?
  8. Yes he does, however, he confessed he isn't that good in english as we are. But I edited my post. (he forgot the word "separated", no offence of course)
  9. I made that sentence for him :)I personally think it is better to wait for all the project doers to be chosen, before continue discussing timezones with chatting. :)When we know who takes part with the project, and who lives where, we can think of that later. If we are from all around the world, it will always be a problem to get all of ourselfs online at the same moment. Not to mention everyone has his own real life, and that may be more important, to just skip a meeting if necessary :)So back to what we are going to make a project of, the application..
  10. He is in the same zone as I am, we're both at +1.
  11. You must replace ' by an ordinary ' :)You can also replace that full code in the onClick attribute by a custom function, that you define in the head section
  12. @ justsomeguy: I wasn't stating a browser should not be secure, but the security must at least be with the security software. The does of the one doesn't always mean the doesn't of the other. But nevermind.. (compare it to black and white, it is not just those two, there is also a way in the middle.)
  13. He means THE* friend :)So here my friend is, lol
  14. Of cource, I thought so too. A friend asked it.
  15. Will there be a discussion topic of who wants to take part of the project? Will that happen after this discussion abvout what it will become?
  16. And over here you can use the HTML box to highlight <html><head><title>Testy page</title><meta name="some" content="thing" /><link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css" /></head><body><p>This is a testy page, don't mention it, just an example. :)</p></body></html>
  17. But only valid in case you use html or xhtml transitional, xhtml strict requires all elements to be closed properly. Though no one is forced to use Xhtml strict.
  18. PhpMyAdmin is a great tool indeed, very advanced and thouroughly. But that makes me dislike it. funny
  19. Cool I was right after all, about the fact that I may be wrong :)I didn't know the replace() function of SQL, now I do.
  20. I know , you don't have to explain me I may not be clear though, so its fine.
  21. I don't think that is possible with SQL only, but I am not an expert in this area. Unless it is possible, you could use the server-side language (ie. php) to get the the data from those rows ans save them in an array. Then use preg_replace() to replace the unwanted string part by nothing. After it has been replaced, restore it into the database in the same order when you got the array out. Is that good for you?
  22. No, unless that attributes recognises points, but I think it only recognises predefined sizes 1-7. The <font> element is deprecated though, you should use styles instead.http://dhost.info/profmemberone/Pages/deprecated.htm(the server is temporarily down at the moment )
  23. What do you mean? Colors can be defined in style attributes and stylesheets, and everything is colorable
  24. It is a good practice to stay strict, and even handle files case sensitive even the server doesn't.
  25. 255 meaning the full color, which makes white instead of black in real life. And 0 means no color leaving black (which is in real life just white) What a mess ey?
