  1. Signed up. Nice style, I must download that one sometime
  2. So who has the power to create subforums? Can moderators do that?
  3. You've got a fair point there, its a part of W3Schools and so should be discussed here at the very least.Speaking of which, if we're going to create this subforum then lets do it sooner rather than later. People will see it and we might get a few more people in.
  4. We'd need our own board or sub-board, i dont think a single thread would be big enough. But otherwise I was thinking it's easier/quicker to set up our own phpBB forums, but then again we do have four days until the votes close.
  5. We could do that. Who's the admin of these forums?
  6. I must say, im not sure about using IRC to communicate. Timezones will differ, and this is a very international site. My offer to set up some forums for the project still stands, if you want.
  7. Yeah, when is the IRC channel being opened?
  8. Just to point out: in 7 days of this post we've racked up 12 pages. I wonder how many we'll get through in the four days until the 5th...
  9. lol, I cant say I'd get nightmares, but I dont want it to die either.
  10. Only javascript? nah, im okay at html too, but Im really into php. And the reason I only want to do one thing is because I dont think I'll have the time to do more than one part.No offence taken, Im just not sure where you got the "only does Javascript" thing from...*edit* okay, im the fool, thought you were replying to me
  11. right, eight more to go. Not sure, but I may be able to drag in one or maybe two HTML writers. Sorry to drag up an old topic, but how are we going to stay in contact? Methinks a real-time chat would be less than great, considering people live in different timezones.I could set up a phpBB forum on a free webhost, so we dont have to fill up even more pages of this 11-page post, if that would help.
  12. 20-25 people... How many do we have now?
  13. Sent my category request.So... when do we start? (yes, i cant wait to start on this )
  14. Im in, just in time, only just heard about it Anyeways, added my vote, hope this works out.I must say, i've been itching to get together and do a community project for ages. I know HTML, a bit of JavaScript, PHP+MySQL, and learning CSS. Glad to help!
  15. Y'know, it took me half an hour to get that webpage up, including upload time. Im on my school break, I may as well re-write the thing using CSS positioning, and testing/validating it every step of the way. It'll be easier
  16. Most of it's html, i have a $page = $_GET['p'] and the main content of the page is include( "$page.php" ), but the rest is just pure HTML
  17. Fixed... STILL doesnt work. To save us both time, could you give me a link to ConTEXT, so i can see the errors myself?*edit* saw your sig, thanks for all your help
  18. wow, six months of (non-w3c strict) html and i didnt know that It didnt fix though. I've edited my code and uploaded it, the problem persists...*EDIT* Im learning CSS at the 'mo, and i had a thought about the positioning elements. Would that do the trick? instead of tables, i mean
  19. right, my issue is that my site (which uses tables for layout) doesnt render properly in Opera. It works in Netscape and Firefox, but not Opera or IE. I cant figure out whats up... thought someone here might've had the same problem at some stageSite's here and i know the links etc dont work yetPS. My site uses PHP as well, if thats any help
  20. Okay, that sorted a lot of problems out. Thanks for the help!
  21. Wow, thanks. Speedy reply Question: what's AJAX? client/server side?
  22. My goal is to get a script to edit/create a file from an email. php mail() functions only send mail, not recieve, and anything else i;ve fouond doesnt work. It must be possible, i figure that's how webmail works, I just cant find any help on the web. Any tips?
