  3. whoa-- why u guys turnig on me like that? hhhhmmm...... :)

Believe me, I've given your beliefs a lot of thought throughout my life, from church at an early age through a religious high school. There are too many unanswered questions for me to take it all seriously. But, nevertheless, I do enjoy having an intelligent discussion about it. I've been able to have a discussion with Arabs debating the Israel/Palestine conflict without tempers getting turned up, as long as people keep things civil there is a lot to talk about.
hey, i do believe you. why shouldn't i? lol. i guess that evolution does not have any unanswered questions right? u have given my beliefs lots of thoughts throughout ur lifetime. well, so have i. i have done a lot of studies both professionally and personally on evolution. so its not as though i dont know anything and have just turned my head away from it. so, there are too many unanswered questions for u to take my beliefs serious, and likewise, there are too many unanswered questions with ur beliefs for me as well-> hehe.... plenty!. and hey- things are very much civilised here. no tempers are turning up- i hope, at least not mine!.
Actually, for me things tend to go in the left ear and out the right. Yeah.
hahaha... thank God it goes through something! :)
Not true. I do not believe in evolution at all. I believe in the Bible 100%. I am just not prepared to say the earth is only 6000 years old. Yes I believe human history began 6000 years ago but to say creation did...I don't know. If you would like to discuss this further with me you can do so through PM.
sure! i'm on it.===well, u guys had me laughing and smiling more than u think. i think some persons may be getting the wrong ideas about me. i'm not bashing anyone's beliefs. as i said b4 in my last submission- i respect everyone's beliefs. every man for himself. u believe in what u wanna believe, and i believe in what i believe. i never set out to try to get anyone to hold on to my beliefs- this was just a discussion. u affirm what u believe in--- and all i did was the same. lol.well u guys. its late and its cold. so- i'm gonna go fly in bed and get some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (sleep). u guys enjoy ur day/ night. smileeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee................
  4. i'm back after some days. busy. busy. busy.well, my response has nothing to do with the last few comments about not discussing politics and religion and so on.anyway- i dont have much to say- i see most people are stuck in what they believe without fairly giving much thought to another's beliefs. and i see that i am the only one here fully backing up the Bible- everyone else seems to believe in evolution in one way or the other. so- whatever i say will just go in the right ear and come through the left. lol. :) so- i respect what u guys believe. thanks for sharing. but i'll definitely stick to the Bible alllll the way! after all, i didn't just appear from no where- i was wonderfully created thanks to God.well, i wouldn't wanna break the rules in anyway. so- we'll bounce upon similar discussions again once there is an O.T. forum/ or once topics of this nature is fully permitted.and yeah- sometimes one needs a break from all the coding... "xdf'th#ul[mq*aw..., having an off-topic thingy will be cool. sometmes i code so much that i see it all when i am sleeping. :)

  5. That you can do. Make us agree with your point of view is something you can never do (not with me atleast), but I suppose that goes both ways...
well, thats the thing- i am not trying to convert anyone!!! (i've never even mentioned which denomination i belong to- and i probably wont). for me, its just a discussion. we are all different in many ways which is attributed to many things. but if anyone sees the light in which i am coming from along the way- wonderful! if not- oh well- i wont scream, i'll just smile, which i do a lot of (smile :) and laugh :) )
:) That's the first time I've ever heard anyone said/type that.
look it up sometime when u have time.=======================anyway- i got wedding invitations to do for someone, so i'm outta here for now...
  6. Exactly, they say don't ask questions about what happened or existed before the big bang, just believe it....hmmmm....not really a scientific answer.
looks like evolution is falling back on the Christians hope- "faith"
i dont like the idea that im under the control of a greater being... i'll worry about the afterlife etc when i get there :) live for the moment...
well, take out God out of this for a moment. at some moments in our lives we will be under the control of someone greater than ourselves-> our parents, teachers, boss, etc. The greatest leader was a great follower. you'll worry about the after life when u get there? i see. well, what u do now in this life will shape ur destiny.
I don't believe my life on earth has a purpose other than the purpose I give myself, and my destiny is largely as I make it myself
of course u have a purpose in life. i wont get into the nitty gritty purpose of ur life- that i dont know. but the larger picture is that (and you'll all scream at me again when i say it- i love when u scream anyway- lol). in the bigger picture- we'll either fulfil God plans or Satan's plans. and that is very true- ur destination takes u only where u have lead urself.
Whoever created that distinction is a fool.
it wasnt me? :) but call no one a fool.========================well, despite our differences- i'm glad i can still come back next week and ask a question on css--> which i will. :) with help from al of you.
  7. I'm not angry with you for your beliefs, but I do think it's really narrow-minded, and I could never see it the same way... Before the Big Bang there was nothing, or they don't know what. Still, the world being only 6,000 years old is just ridiculous to me.if the world is only 6,000 years old (or 12,000 as some fundamentalist christians think), why wasn't dinosaurs mentioned in the bible? Why have scientists dug up fossils that show evidence of dinosaurs having existed? Do you not believe in dinosaurs having existed?
u think its narrow minded? hmm.... well, a question was asked. i answered from my perspective and for this same reason i made sure i stated that at the very end. u have ur beliefs- but i will never ever say that u are narrow minded- its ur belief. respect! why wasnt dinasaurs mentioned? ha. was hippopotamus, jaguar, parrot, etc. mentioned? its impossible for the Bible to mention every single thing word for word. The Bible is only concerned with things thats important to our salvation. if u read what i wrote again- u would see that i explained b4 u even mentioned it why scientists can dig things up and think that they are far older than they really are- they were created in an adult stage.i've read much about evolution. i did a degree in behavioral science/ psychology and had to do plenty research for various courses on that stuff. did plenty personal research on various religions as well- christianity, islam, hindu, rastafarianism, etc. so, its not like i am in a box.
I don't think it is narrow-minded to belive in God, but I do think it is narrow minded to think the earth is only 6000 years old. How do you explain dinosaurs then???
hhmm... u too. i'll just smile. u may wanna read this dinasaur and the Bible 1, dinasaur and the Bible 2, u can also read this book- Dinosaurs by Elaine G. Kennedy, Ph. D.scientists are guessing as to what happened to dinasaurs. they say: "Dinosaurs starved to death; they died from overeating; they were poisoned; they became blind from cataracts and could not reproduce; mammals ate their eggs. Other causes include-volcanic dust, poisonous gases, comets, sunspots, meteorites, mass suicide, constipation, parasites, shrinking brain (and greater stupidity), slipped discs, changes in the composition of air, etc." (read) Well, i dont have to guess. they became extinct during the flood. they were too big to into the ark.
how is it that there was an explosion of nothing? Seems to me that belief in the Big Bang takes just as much faith and believing in God
    very true.
You have to realize that all of that is essentially your opinion.
right- and i keep saying that 'this is my perspective'. i'll say no more on that.
I realize these are your personal beliefs, and that you do believe them, but I think it's a little naive when science is able, through observation and testing, to determine the age of something with a high level of precision.
and i explianed that before. when God created everything in that week, they were created maturely.
you can sit there with your fingers in your ears saying "la la la la la I can't hear you!"
lol. la la la la la... hahahahahhaaaaa. naahhhhh--- i'm listening to allllll you have to say. lol.
I do have a question though about your logic. You claim that the planet is 6,000 years old. Where does God draw the line? Does this only include the planet itself, or the entire solar system including the sun, or the entire galaxy including all the stars we see, or the entire universe? Because there are many many things that we can see in the universe that are so far that it takes the light from those objects millions of years to reach us. So if everything is only 6,000 years old, then we would only be able to see objects that are 6,000 light years away or less. But we can see things that are millions of light years distant, so that light has been travelling through space for several million years to reach us. How do you reconcile things like that with what you believe?
u are limiting my beliefs with mere speculations from the little i've said. i do believe that there are other worlds out there- its in the Bible: Hebrews 1:2 says "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;" and Hebrews 11:3 which say, "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." so yeah- they are other "worlds".
Ible, according to the Bible humans were created 6000 years ago. Does 7 days mean literally 7 days? How long was the earth void and with out form before God created us???
yup my dear. 7 literal days.read. how long was the earth void... i dont know. no one knows.
I once got totally put off by science for this. I think it was Steven Hawking who said in one of his books that it doesn't make any sense to question what happened before the Big Bang because that is when time itself was created. So, by definition, nothing could have happened or existed before that/then.
hahahaaaaa... so- that theory is empty. think it over. how could we have just evolved from no where? hhmmm...... there must be an explanation my friend- creation!
  8. Don't get infatuated with having your own site until the time is right/manageable.
ha! i like that. tis true. right now, i have all the time in the world- yet i have no time! uuhhh.... sounds nuts? ha!
  9. BTW, live.com doesn't look like Google.
yeah- it looks like google--> with just a searchbox on an empty page and a couple hands on choices such as web, news, images, maps, etc, then at the top-right u can sign in/out and personalise the page: thats google :)
  10. You know, that's exactly the same uncompromising reason why the US is in trouble in Iraq. You're either with us or against us, no middle ground, says Bush, "the uniter" (as his campaign slogan went). There should always be a middle ground.... I'm just trying to point out that everything is no black and white. A little compromise does a lot of good in certain situations.
and u r right- "in certain situations". there are certain things in life that will require some compromising to succeed- such as a marriage. but there are others where compromising becomes dangerous. u should NOT compromise in 'everything'. "If you stand for nothing you will fall for anything." always remember that!
  11. The mark of the beast has absolutely nothing to do with the devil!! Why do people insist on saying that? It is the mark of humans!! ...
reportingsjr, you are still very young and have much to learn as you grow. don't give the devil reasons to smile with uninformed statements like that. who do you think the devil uses to attack humans and get his way with us?bang! other humans. that is why there are murderers, thieves, liars, etc. there are only TWO sides is this world- good and bad. there is no middle ground!!! and once you are not on the good side, you'll be influenced by the bad to do evil. when it all boils down, it doesnt have so much to do with us humans, but the devil fulfilling his evil deeds.
  12. ...and that is as personal as anyone is going to see me get online.
:) Thumbs up to you! i use to read anything and everything once upon a time. i've become soo lazy now, i think my brains is beginning to seize up- i forget things easily.uuhhh... did i hear someone say i gotta get from behind the computer and go excercise? :) good advice! i'm gone...................
  13. So, the next time you are in class, do yourself and the teacher a favor - bring the topic back up and find out exactly what the teacher meant. Let the teacher know why you are questioning it - even if (even back then) you did not know the right answer but your gut was telling you that you were being fed BS - QUESTION IT.
beautifully said. this is not directed to you Agustine... its hurtful when students asks no questions in class even when u prompt them too. then when test/ exam time comes around- u start to hear snickerings here and there about how they never understood a,b,c, etc. i dont teach as a job anymore, but i do voluntary lecturing (not in computers) and i literally beg for questions and inputs. so when i'm done, u cant blame me if u did not understand- u had ur chance to seek clarification. :)Edit: i dont know why, but people who have a profession are normaly very sloppy in doing things in that same profession for themselves. car mechanics cars needs looking after. the hair dressers hair needs trimming. the carpenters cupboard door is broken off (for months), the shoe maker shoes are begging bread. so at times, its not so much that they dont know- but they have time for everyone else but themselves. shame though. hhhmmmm..... :)
  14. Are humans a part of nature?
Most definitely! Look at: Genesis 1:26--> "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth........ Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." This places us directly in the heart of nature.when nature is out of balance, we are affected too. for instance, when there is a tornado, huricane, earthquake, etc, it affects us. when the rain does not fall and the plants gets no water, we have no crop to eat. when it rains too much, it might cause a flood. if it snows too heavy for too long- u know.
...but personally when someone says nature I just don't think of humans. I think of trees and animals and some place with no pollution, etc :)
well, frankly, whether it has pollution or not, its still nature. the river up the road is polluted, but its still a part of nature.
Since when are we not a part of evolution?
we have NEVER been a part of evolution my dear. we were CREATED by God our Creator- we did not just evolved from nowhere! Our bodies are too perfected constructed for us to have appeared out of no where just like that.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cro-Magnon.... The only thing really unique about humans is technology.
pardon me, but this world is only 6,000 years old. from creation to the flood is 2,000 yrs, from the flood to the cross is 2,000 yrs and from the cross to now is 2,000 yrs= add it up u get 6,000. when God created the earth, everything was created in a mature stage, thus, Adam and Eve were created as adults and not babies. the trees and animals were also created in a mature stage. so, if scientists try to put an age to those things way back then, of course it would seem as though they existed long before because they were created mature.technology? hmm.... humans were the only thing that was created with the capacity to think and reason logically. we were created with the freedom of choice- thus, that is why Adam and Eve could have eaten the fruit- "choice". Genesis 3:5 says "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." Knowing good and evil means that they were now able to intelligently and logically reason things out for themselves. they now had an awareness about what is evil and what is good. it is with this intelligence that birthed technology.well, this is just my take on this subject. u cant get :) with me... its my perspective :)
  15. yup.its just rather interesting nonetheless.its really a sidetrack from the real mark of the beast which i will not dare get into in this forum :)but i have a rule of thumb nevertheless:-->'the average rumour may not be entirely true, but if u look keenly enough, there are almost, always even a little truth in them.' this is not attached to the above- its just a general statement.

  16. Actually when I open a new tab most of the time I want to search google for something and my home page is currently google but only the first tab.Did you hear about http://www.live.com ? MS version of google. :)
