Isagard
Wehn I put a favicon in my site, it's visible in firefox but not in safari. And in safari I had a favicon which I had up previously, but when I take out the code it won't go away! Why can't I get it to work in safari? F-Man
The rel value of the <link> tag should be "favicon", not "icon" (correct me someone if I'm wrong). Also, the ad on your page adds HTML before the head and body elements are even opened. This may be a reason for it not working.
Isagard
The ad is probably the reason... I had to reset all my adsolute positioning to new numbers because of it as well. What's weird is that it works perfectly on my version of Firefox.
Chocolate570
No url favicon.ico could be found on this serverThat's the error I get. Obviously you haven't uploaded the favicon on your server yet
Isagard
I did upload the image... maybe it's because its too big a file...i'm usiong free hosting so that might be it.
Chocolate570
Don't bother hosting it on your hosting service then. Sign up an account on ripway.com. 30mb of free space, and you can host anything! It also allows ftp.
F-Man
No no, your icon is up there and I could download it fine by going to its URL.
Jonas
Are you sure the size and colors are correct with what is allowed for favicons? 16x16 or whatever it is..? 256 colors?
Isagard
I know the size and colors are correct. I used an online favicon maker thingy posted in a previous post.

Skemcin
I see it, its all black with some dark grey lines that look like they resemble the header graphic on the site.P.S. Its not on your homepage but once I enter the site it is there.
F-Man
He fixed the rel="icon" thing. Yay!
Isagard
Yea it's the same graphic as my logo except the full one. And even when I fixed the code it still won't be shown in Safari for some reason...I might ask apple about it cause it works in firefox.
