desiging for CMS?

Im doing a website for a Graphic Design studio, they want to be able to edit the content like the porti etc at a later stage, so Im guessing CMS...? They are gonna get someone else to do the CMS, but is there a good way of desiging when desiging for CMS, I read somewhere that one should not embed elements like text etc, Im guessing it should be linked, any other advice like this?

Any content inside Flash that needs to change will need to come from an external source. One idea would be to have Flash send out a request to a dynamic page on the server that will look up content in the database and return what Flash is asking for, then Flash can do whatever it wants with that. You can use that general concept for pretty much anything dynamic in Flash.

There are a few ways to do this, but two easier ones come to mind. First, you can program flash to pull in the contents of an external text file. Have any language, (php, asp, coldfusion) to database content while simultaneously updating the text files. Or use flash to directly intgrate with coldfusion pages/objects.
