HTML 5 is still in development...There will always be a place for HTML. What's wrong with it?

Since browsers still have better support for HTML, it probably won't be replaced for a long time. But if itis replaced, I know how to make sites with XHTML just as easily.

try the w3schools quiz, if you answer no won't replace it , you will get a wrong answer
That's not the only question on the quizzes that is not fact-based. It's an opinion, not a fact, on whether or not one will replace the other. After the event then it will become a fact, but while that event is still in the future it's just an opinion on what is going to happen. It's like asking if the US or China is going to win the most gold medals or if the IOC is going to disqualify Chinese gymnasts because they're too young. That's only a fact after the games end. Questions like that don't belong on tests. For my part, all of the projects I start I use HTML 4 on.

See, XHTML is just HTML reformed by XML. HTML isn't going away for a long time. The purpose for XHTML is for quality markup. Eventually, the W3C will get everyone converted to XHTML.

The XHTML 2.0 and HTML 5 drafts look significantly different to me... have a look for yourself.http://www.w3.org/html/wg/html5/http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml2/
