jarrett000
I have a footer table I would like to put at the bottom. I used this cod: .Footer {vertical-align: bottom;} It's simple and usually works, however, it's not working this time and I can't figure out why. I was wondering if maybey this doesn't work on tables, or if I'm just doing something plain wrong.

jarrett000
Well, the whole CSS block is: .Footer { border-width:0px; border-color:#000000; background-color:#000000; vertical-align: bottom}
jlhaslip
And what about the html code?
jarrett000
<table width="100%" height="10%" class="Footer"> <tbody> <tr> <td> [copyright] 2009 </td> </tr> </tbody></table>OR, for the whole page just crtl+U Here.
jlhaslip
Vertical-align will not force the Footer down to the bottom of the Viewport (monitor or display).Vertical-align will set the content of a line to the bottom of the line it occupies. Sort-of. That is the short answer. If you are trying to get the Footer Table to the bottom of the viewport you will need to position it differently. position:relative or position:absolute might work. I rarely use them, so I am not proficient with them, but someone else might come along and assist you with this issue.
jarrett000
Well, thanks for trying and btw as for your advice position: relative; did NOTHING and position: absolute; caused it to float at the top of the page.
