airesofwar
What is a good and free text editor that can save as js EXT? I have windows 7 and it comes with a basic editor but I don't see any option to save as js EXT.
MrFish
Save the file as "All Files" and in the name add .js as the end. You computer will do the rest.As for text editors. Notepad++ is a popular choice. I prefer BlueFish because you can save your own code snippets. This comes in handy when you have 20+ php functions but can't remember the names. Fmdpa
I use Notepad++ and love it. There is a link in my signature. But just as MrFish said, you do not need a fancy text editor to save with these extensions. The same is true with .htm/.html and .css and many other filetypes. You'll appreciate the syntax highlighting though. It makes programming easier because typos are easier to identify than using textpad or wordpad.
