612wharfavenue
I wanted to start a thread detailing the quirks people have found for different video formats using css. Todate i have found that:1. VLC plugin does not respect z-index and opacity is either 1 or 0, while transitions and transforms will cause it to crash. 2. Quicktime plugin has the same issues as VLC. 3. Flash plugin respects css but can cause hiccups in the browser while transitioning that cause timed/triggered scripts not to execute. I suppose people dont do a whole lot of animating of the video window, but its good to know nonetheless./*edited for accuracy.*/
Ingolme
Generally, plug-ins and iframes are not affected by CSS because they are external applications that are embedded into the page, which the browser has little direct control over.CSS transitions and transformations are still new and may still need adjustments. 612wharfavenue
Flash does well with css, as well as html5 video (while not technically a plugin, behaves more or less the same way). Silverlight on the other hand seems to be completely separate from html/css/javascript, but it does have its own css controls.
