Help!

Hey guys I'm new to CSS and i was wondering if someone could explain to me the basics of CSS and how the format works. Like i know its based around the squigly brackets and colons and semi colins and stuff and i know some basic stuff but i dont know the basics like how and what the style tags and for and do and when to use them and all that. and if u could explain the body tag aswell that would be awesome!! if you think you can apprentice me into the world of CSS email me @ GuitarShred@comcast.net -- thank you--

those w3school examples on CSS dont help me learn really because they dont explain in depth how and when to use tags and everything. like i dont understand how the body tag works what it does and when to use it. same with the style tag.if you could explain them to me that'd be wonderful. --thank you--

Your talking about html! Css dosn't have body or style tags it can style them though the style tag is where you put css. DID YOU READ THE HTML AN CSS TUTORIAL OR FLIP TO THE EXAMPLES OR REFERENCE? You have to learn html then css
