ferren
Styling the link to indicate its state (link, hover, active, visited) is sometimes useful. However, 'visited' appears to be remembered. Is there a way to reset it to 'unvisited'? Reloading the file and browser does not do this, but I feel a need for 'visited today' vs 'visited last month', and haven't found a way to indicate this. Ingolme
You have to remove the page from your browser's history to remove the visited state.
COBOLdinosaur
If you want to have variable visited values based on anything other than browser history you will need to use cookies;and the best you can hope for is that it will be semi-reliable. dsonesuk
Html5 local storage is another better option than cookies.
COBOLdinosaur
Local storage is less efficient, and still has the problem that the user has to enable it. Plus it is a real klug to work with.
