One Bad Omen Posted September 25, 2006 Share Posted September 25, 2006 For my website I upload it using SmartFTP 2.0, well yesterday my comp got a virus and I can barely get it to start up. In order to fix it I may have to dump everything, I don't know yet though. My question is will all of my information be lost or when I redownload FTP and connect to my host will the info be in there? reportingsjr Posted September 25, 2006 Share Posted September 25, 2006 I un installed mine once, it all gets dumped.Thats just favorites and the saved addresses and such, if you mean your website info, that only gets deleted if you delete it, or the server has a big malfunction and deletes it. justsomeguy Posted September 25, 2006 Share Posted September 25, 2006 I think he's referring to his content on the server. The server is a separate machine, it's not linked to your computer in any way. Unless the server itself suffers some sort of catastrophic failure, all of your content will still be online.
