reportingsjr
http://media.www.studentprintz.com/media/s...e-2667600.shtmlWell, most types of cancers have been cured. Read this article to read why!!! Now we don't have to worry about it as much. A drug used to treat metabolic disorders will turn cancer cells into normal cells. Its all in the article. But you must take note it doesn't cure ALL cancer. But it cures most (well, no more of those breast cancer fund raisers!) so we should all be glad! Toast . Sniffy
We still need fundraisers to treat the mass amount of people with cancer, well at least I think we do.
reportingsjr
In case you didn't read, its really, really cheap (probably at or below $10 for the treatment). Thats why companies don't want to make it and sell it! They won't profit from it..
Sniffy
I heard something about that...Anyways, why not raise the prices to the companies but still keep the same price for citizens, but fundraise to cover the extra cost?
justsomeguy
The problem isn't the fact that it is cheap, the problem is that the drug is not able to be patented. If a pharmaceutical company cannot patent the drug, then they can't make any money off it and therefore they won't invest any money into clinical trials or research. Pharmaceutical companies are not motivated by goodwill, they are motivated by the massive profits that come from researching and patenting new drugs. So, the funding for DCA will be left up to universities and non-profit cancer foundations. But once the clinical trials pass, and if the drug gets approved as a cancer-fighting drug, then anyone with sufficient resources will be able to produce the drug. If the side effects are minimal enough, it could even be distributed in the public water supply the same way flouride is now.Smoke em if you got em! Sniffy
Drugs in our water..... sounds like a good idea.... That would be a good idea actually so we don't have to worry about mass treatment.
