XAMMP Problem

Hi,I recently strated to learn PHP, an dhave encountered the problem of having a non-functional apache server.My Dad has downloaded XAMMP for me, but it doesn't work!I am using Microsoft XP, with IE7.I have cheched all the accual PHP, and the exstentions, but I cannot open the file as a webpage.I am not a very clear writer, so my apoligies, but any advise is welcome.Thanks!

Yes, I have put all my php files in htdocs, but no differnce. We have also tryed 'redownloading' it.

Yes. We have run it on the control panel, but it claims to be busy??You might have hit the problem...

Make sure you don't already have a web server running. A computer can only run one "default" web server at a time, since by default web servers listen on port 80, which is HTTP. If you already have something installed that is listening on port 80, then a web server will not be able to work with the default config.
