Head Reffering to Validator

I put this link on my page in order to reffer to W3 Validator <a href="http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=referer">.When I click on the link I get the following message:No Referer header found! You have requested we check the referring page, but your browser did not send the HTTP "Referer" header field. This can be for several reasons, but most commonly it is because your browser does not know about this header, has been configured not to send one, or is behind a proxy or firewall that strips it out of the request before it reaches us. I have to say that I indeed did not put the needed code in the head section. Can someone tell me which line of code is needed in the head section for this to work? Thanx.

The referrer is sent from the browser. It's possible that your computer isn't sending the referrer header because some kind of protection was activated in your computer to not send it. I do know that it can be done, and some people do it so that people can't register the sites they've been on.

The code you originally posted works once you upload the page to the 'net.Check it out on the bottom of this page: http://jlhaslip.comTo check validation from your Local machine, use this link: http://validator.w3.org/#validate_by_uploador to cut and paste the code, try this one: http://validator.w3.org/#validate_by_input
