GIF is a well-defined (old) palette-based format, but there's definitely a difference between the two images you posted. I don't know enough about the format to know where and how it stores the palette in the file though, but there's definitely a difference.

solvedthe problem was i was saving my image.php file (where i use GD functions and send a header from) as UTF-8 that will give the error "The Image Cannot Be Displayed, Because It Contains Errors"now i save it as ANSI and it works as expected <html>...<img src='image.php'>...</html>thank you all for helpingeven if it wasn't the problemTal
