2. ... A needle in a haystack.Right I have a really old Packard bell club 88 which ran Windows 98, I use it for playing the old classic games which cant be played on windows xp (there are a few).I have recently bought Settlers 3 a fantastic game I played many many years ago but only played the demo.I have had the sudden urge to play this game, however you can only ply the game in these operating systems Windows 95|Windows ME|Windows 98 Windows NT|Windows 2000|I recently upgraded my Packard bell club 88 to Windows Xp (Stupid move I know) Now some how my Packard bell has completely removed my windows 98 and i cannot revert back to the original.I'm looking for a way to run any of the listed operating systems, i am willing to try anything.Ben
  3. hmmm i didnt think them thinks were possible...im sure it would do something to your computer that you wouldnt want. I mean a 1 gb ram was not designed to be 2gb was it??
  4. Hi all im really screwing my head around this and im sure someone on this forum must no this vb, i can say one thing i certainly dont.I have a spreadsheet and would like to mail merge it at the click of a button. I am fully aware of how to create a mail merge from word to excel but not from excel to word. The main reason for this is user friendliness. I'd rather the user press the button and presto, rather than open word --> make doc --> mail merge --> select fields ...this probably is not the place to post it but this is really wrecking my head and i cant sleep...Thanks for any attempts at a solution
  5. i can see you have already that you can only have 1gb of ram but this is a good computer scanner. for ram upgrades http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/it scans your pc and tells you want you can upgrade up to, where to buy the upgrade from and price (there stuff is really cheap)
  6. hmm yea i think the only if you could call it a disadvanatge is the amount of skills you need to learn...i suppose its a silly question.

This is the code i would use if it is on my .com

Google Maps JavaScript API Example

  14. Ok so im using the Google AJAX Search API. I have the search map on both sites. Whether i upload to the .com or .co.uk they are both the same.I have both domains .com and .co.ukGoogle only allows me to register an api code for one website therefore when i visit the map for the .co.uk uk i get an error. Does any one know a way around this? Also for some reason the code i have does not work with firefox.

    Small Asp Error

For this job I have changed roles...In this case i have been asked to find a suitable hosting provider and upload it for them. Im using 1 and 1 hosting they seem ok...For some reason im getting this error message when i try to access the database. Im unsure as to why im getting it simply because the database is not read only. I'd be great full if someone could shed some light on this situation. Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09'Cannot update. Database or object is read-only./admin/sessions_inc.asp, line 49
  19. I can see your point actually thanks.
  20. This is kind of in rely to the following thread http://w3schools.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=11255I am guessing I kind of got ripped off for the sites I did then...This was my first site I did for "work experience" but it was for quite an important person. It was for a University Lecturer at Kings College, London, UK. All content was provided.http://www.aquatic-management.org/Paid: £50 + Expenses £20 = £70 ($138.80)This next site is for an established CCTV business. The sites on a temporary URL hence the add I have to put at the bottom of the page.http://www.dview.co.nr/Paid: £250 ($495.70)I suppose if you look at it as a learning curve then i cant really charge for that, however im sure other companies would have paid more....What you think?
  21. @justsomeguy: you talking about KB905474? for some reason that update stopped half way through and crashed my pc. My XP is legit lol i have the docs to prove it...The only reason why i can see i have encountered this problem is becuase i recently upgraded my aol to the latest AOL 9.0 VR (Vista Ready)would this have anything to do with it?however when i look at this http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost....62&SiteID=1 i can see people are having the same problem with no way to fix it
  22. Here is a list of my last updatesHere is a list of my high priority updatesHere is a list of my software updatesHere is a list of my hardware updates

  24. What the problem is here is that every dvd i try to play on my pc, i recieve the following message. No matter if its a dvd from the shops or one i have burnt my self i keep recieving the error. I know alot of people who are having this problem so i know its nothing to do with my hardware.I have tried to reinstall previous versions of windows media player but it has proved to be unsuccessful. I have tried there help topics and doing upgrades they suggest but still no luck. Even changed my resolution settings but im sure you can guess the outcome.Any ideas?
  25. thanks for your help guy, its cleared things up but still it does the same thing. Looks like i have to wait for the fix.cheers again!
