  1. Hey, thanks for the help! The article is indeed a good starting point. I'll also look into 'Assember,' as you say.
  2. Ok, I know this isn't really the place for it, but I thought perhaps (at least from what I know) that being VB is related to C/C++, someone here might know. I am looking to write a custom printer driver. For basics, I would say, like to control the part that holds the ink using the arrow keys on my keyboard. Is that even possible? Any information on how to go about creating a driver at all would be of great interest, and much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  3. Thank you both for the help, much appreciated. I have since figured out how to all of what I was asking, but what you have said will help me improve it. I am working on some other things with it, and I will, I'm sure, have more questions in the near future.

  6. Ok, I have redone the whole thing without the use of .innerHTML, but I have some questions now.Which of the following is better to use? document.createElement('option'); new Option(); Next, I would like the "selectTwo" to have multiple options when a selection in "selectOne" is made, how do I do that? All I can seem to have is one option. Third, a question on my "if" statement. How can I cause "selectTwo" to be cleared of all options, instead of just the first option in the list? (currently I use x.remove(x) which only removes one option)HTML: <html><head><script language="Java
  7. I thank you, I shall look at it.I have since changed the code, but it still may be the same issue that is causing it not to work.HTML: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><title>v8:ColdSteel</title><link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css" /><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /><script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript" src="JavaScript/js_testing3.js"></script></head&g

    Css Styling

Yes, your assumptions were right. I'm sure there was a much better way to do what i did, also, but I am very new to JS, and am trying to figure stuff out. If i recall correctly, in the initPageTwo function, I simply needed "return true;" before the closing curly bracket.I changed the whole thing around, anyhow, and get everything works as I need to. Thank you for trying to help, though

    Css Styling

    Hello, all. I am trying to figure out some things for my personal site, and I've run into a hopefully small block. I have the following HTML: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><title>v8:ColdSteel</title><link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css" /><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /><script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript" src="page2.js"></script><style id="cssStyl

    New Window

Hey, thanks! I hadn't realized you could do it like that!

    New Window

Well, I can get the function to work, but only one part at a time. For instance, I can either get the image to to show up or I can get the button to show up, but not both. Nor can I get the button to actually work. So, really, it would be much more useful to have html and JS, etc in the new window, but I have no clue how to do that. I have tried to do that, but again, I don't know how. So, if you could show me an example or something, that would be great.

    New Window

Hey, guys. I'm getting myself into some JavaScript, nothing big, but I need help. I want to make it so i can click on an image (or link if the case may be) and a new window appears. Within the window I would like an image and a button to close the window. I have the code to do both, i have them both working separately, with the exception of I can't get the new window to close, but I do have a button there. I can get the button to work without creating a new window, so I know that code works. (I have looked around the w3schools site, that is how I learned to create the code, along with a book I
  14. What are you trying to do? Like a link mouseover/hover?
  15. I'm sure adobe will appreciate it
  16. I put it up as a new topic but it may have been better to just post it here.http://kuler.adobe.com/ it's a thing for color schemes, pretty cool.
  17. I have noticed people having trouble with color schemes.Check out http://kuler.adobe.com/ If you look at the highest rated or most popular schemes you should get a better grip on what colors go with eachother.Play around on it, it's pretty cool.<<edited thread title>>

Wow if that isn't true for me too. I have a site, but two or three weeks later I'm ready to change it because I find something I don't like with it or I find something I like better etc. Right now though, I'm fairly happy with the design of the site, it's the content I have problems with.I completely agree though, making something for someone else you are going by what they want so it is easier so to speak.

I must say, this entire discussion has made me think quite a bit. Due to the lack of time I shall, for now, only briefly speak. One question I have is how do you know that the equipment used to measure the age of bones etc. are really accurate? Yeah sure accurate up to what, about hundred years, and thats only because someone is alive to say, "Yeah, that's X amount of years old" and they had personally seen it that many years ago. It's kind of like what was said about the thing with the laws of physics. Considering the quoted, how, then, can one be sure, things are from millions of years or ho
  24. That is very well put I think. I must say this dicussion was very interesting to read. I myself am a Christian and I do my absolute best not to be arrogant. Just because you are religious does not make you right all the time. You are still the same person you have always been only with different understanding, if that makes any sense to anyone.Just thought I'd give my 2 cents.
