eguru
Do u think google is dominating the world of web too much???your opinions.
Ruud Hermans
Depends on what you call dominating I refuse to use something from google beside their searchengine for the simple reason that they collect your personal information as stated in the TOS of most of their products and I'm not aware of any person who does uses other products of google. So if you only reffer to their searchengine then yes I think they are dominating.Ruud Hermans
eguru
what about their adsence and adwords which are used by many, well in simple words i could state that they are used than any other service in world.they are trying to dominate each and every possible cleams of the web industry. Ruud Hermans
We'll I have never trusted google anyway sinds as I stated above they collect your personal information. I think they are selling it to gouverments sinds all there is behind google are some greedy moneymakers.Ruud Hermans
whatever_works
they are trying to dominate each and every possible cleams of the web industry.Isn't that kind of like striving to be the best you can be ?You would prefer some socialist controls that opress those who try hard and are inventive and entrepreneurial ? So that lazy "would-be's" can have a piece of the action ?
Jonas
Microsoft seem happy with people having to buy their products through their (seemingly to the public) monopoly on operating systems for PC's, and then having to buy Office, having to cope with IE etc. Of course there are better alternatives, but the average computer user doesn't know better, and keep using mediocre products. Google is much like Microsoft, only they seem to actually strive to make good products.I use Google search (although I may use other search engines from time to time), Gmail (anyone interested in an invite, I have like 99 or something, just PM me), Google Earth (brilliant program) and Gmail Notifier. Tried Googlepages (doesn't work in Opera, no good), but I prefer to code my own websites anyway. I still think Googlepages is a much better alternative than pages like geocities/yahoo/piczo, as it results in aesthetically prettier pages. Google Video is cool, but YouTube is a lot bigger and has more videos...

Jonas
That may be so, but it wouldn't hurt them to keep their products up to date. :)Anyway, we're straying off topic. I believe we're discussing Google.

aspnetguy
@Jonas...do you like Gmail? I found it clumsy and looks awful. I prefer Yahoo mail , especially their new AJAX interface....looks and acts just like Outlook.@eguru...I use search and am considering an AdWords campaign. I will never use AdSense again. Google failed to let their AdSense promoters know about a change they made in November that crippled any hopes of make a decent amount of cash from your sites ever again.I am currently persueing some other Affiliate advertising options...if you are interested I can send you the articles that talk about this. I saved some copies cuz the site said they are going to stop distributing them soon.
eguru
well i am not an supporter of google, but ypn is good enough but accepts only us people and other programs in the net approve on traffic and status of your site. Our website was accepted since it had huge traffic of about 5000 / per day by many publishers, but we did not prefer as most of them were scams. Ruud Hermans
@aspnetguy,G-Mail filters e-mails on subjects, mails that contain certain combinations of words are intercepted by the google team.--- as far as I have been told.Beside that the TOS claim google the right to read your mail when they feel like it. (a reason can allway's be thought of with those privacy policies).Ruud Hermans
aspnetguy
just to clarify I am not trying to suggest an affilaite program to you I meant the articles that talked about the changes Google made to AdSense and why it hurt AdSense publishers. pulpfiction
There was an interesting article some time back about Microsoft has started losing its "Innovation" and is mainly trying to compete with its rivals. MS is launching "zune" similar to ipod and doing other stuff which others have already done. this just shows MS has bad feeling about their dropping down in market... eguru
yes Microsoft is releasing in the market, but has some more features compared to ipod.
pulpfiction
Its gonna be as good as a Ipod [hopefully] but it shows MS is trying hard to stay afloat in the market. MS has lost its innovation, thats bad..
eguru
not really, it has not. it is still in the market and would still be the no1.
pulpfiction
Seems like you are a staunch fan of MS, yeah like you said it may be true that its No. 1 and will remain, but i'm just trying to point out a few changes in MS.
