  1. Hi,I am not sure whether or not I am allowed to do this, so I precede with caution, and mods, I accept that if you don't like this, you can remove it straight away, I just don't want to get into any trouble. So, ahve you had look at my site? If not then why dont you click on the picture in my signature? What do you think to it, it was all hand coded, I dont mind if you give feedback via this tread, but it would be great if you could use the guestbook and the feedback!Again, sorry if I shouldn't have posted this.
  2. Thanks, if ever you need any help, just post your question. I usually lurk around in the HTML section, as you may have already scene from my profile. It is not often that I venture any further than that, but I do sometimes add posts in the General Section.
  3. But I thought that there was Notepad, Notepad 2 and Notepad++?
  4. You are labeled a "Newbie" when you have sent under 10 posts, a "Member" when you have over 10 posts and an "Advanced Member" when you have I think it is 15 posts. After that I think 500 posts lets you change the label to whatever you like. And I really am not sure after that. I really want to know how many posts you need to be able to add your picture to your profile.
  5. But that code doesn't work in other borwsers either, I think I prefer the code that I am using
  6. That just shows me what I have already done, I would like to know how to make part of the image map increase when the user hovered over it. Anywya, doen't matter now, I have deleted the file on the web I think, so it wont work.
  7. Yeh, I know, but like I said, I don't want te code, it is just for someone else.
  8. I would just use the code that I sent to you, it works in IE fines, but not in FF, but does that matter? I don't understand the code that the other person sent, you could just have a look at someone elses source code and then try it in your site?
  9. Yeh, I am not sure where it should go, I don't think it really matters where you put it, you could try putting it in between the head tags?
  10. Oh right, thanks I have tried conTEXT, but I didn't really like it, dont get me wrong though, I am sure it is very good.
  11. Sorry, I just needed a pretty speedy responce, it does work, but obviously if the user selects the image then uses CTRL and C you can copoy it.I am sure there are lots of other codes that you can use, but at the end of the day, if someone wants your picture bad enough then they will get it, whether they just take a print screen or look in there tempory internet files.
  12. I do agree with aspnetguy, but it shouldn't be a major problem. I really recomend these tutorials, they are just so great. It was like a godsent when I found them and seriously I would have in those days called it an online bible to HTML.These great tutorials are just so amazing and I really think that they will help you, learn HTML in just 5 Days, give or take, with only notepad, a browser and an internet connection, with no fee whatsoever. It took me about a month to run through alkl of the tutorials, but that was spending about an hour or so each evening. So I soppose it really is true. With online videos that you can stop, pause, rewind and fastforward they really are great. Ok they do start off with a basic skills tutorial, which is very basic but if you bear in mind it is aimed at teaching anyone how to use HTML, and so a wide range of people need to be catered for. When I first knew a bi of HTML I could barely string a line of code together let alone make a page. Now look, I can make a whole website using HTML all hand written. Check out my website, see my signature.Oh, and lets not forget the actual link...Clcik HereEnjoy!
  13. Lol, some of your guys really do come up with some funny replies, did the code that I send you work? It seemed to on IE 6 but then again I didn't have any time to check it on FF. And I don't have any other browsers. If it doesn't work or it is not what you want, just let me know and I will do my best to try and rectify it.
  14. Hi,Just wondering whether there is any way in which you can disable right click with some simple HTML or Java Script code?It isn't for me, its for someone I know, and I do already know that people can still get around these things, but they would still like to know, so does anyone know any code?
  15. Is there a Notepad out there that will let you tab documents and also that will let you find and replace in a whole folder?
  16. Yeh, you ARE GREAT, the only reason that I know who you are is because it says that you are a mod, appart from that though, I would say you go un ditected most of the time, and blimby, you must do a lot of work helping people with the ammount of posts that you have!
  17. No, its fine, here is the code that you need to use to make a form like that... There, a fully working HTML page, once you have changed a few things that are in bold. It is also important to note that for this pages links to work, you need a page called privacypolicy.html and also a page called thankyou.html.Just take whatever bits of code you need, but use the whole lot if you like.
  18. Just because someone is a newbie, doesn't mean they cant try and help anyone, for all oyu know, they could be a great coder, and just have signed up to this forum to help people! Anyway, could you possibly send a pic of what you are trying to do, and then I will try to make it for you.

    Tables

if you post a pic of what you would like, with rough percentages of how wide and high etc. I will try and make it for you if you like, it doesn't have to anything fancy, just drawn up in Paint if you like.
  20. I would copy it exactly by selecting it, then copying and then just change the bits that you need to change as and when you need to, then usually, if the code the person gave you is correct it should all work!

    Resizing

I think that they mean, keep the same relative size of the screen when the user resizes the browser or if they have a different resolution to the person who made the site.

    Resizing

It is worth noteing though that if you do make a table using percentages instead of pixels that although it will resize to whatever you want pictures will cause you problems, the pictures will stay the same size when you resize the screen. And eventually depending on the size of the pictures you will get a scroll bar, so just something worth thinking about when making the page!
  23. You may also note that you can add the ahover="orange"
  24. Wow, I never knew about this code, it is very useful actually, I am going to go through quite a lot of my links and add it to them!
  25. I don't understand it myself personally, I just got it of a website, and it works, so I used it, and when Marchivelli asked about bookmarking I said that this worked. Please can you explain what is wrong with this, and posibly change it?
