  8. unless you are set on writing it your self it sounds like you want a blog-style page. There are tons of downloads you can get that will do that for you. Like http://www.wordpress.org

  10. how does getting redirected to the home page lose sessions? Do you reset the sessions on the homepage or something?
  11. That being said not all books are meant for newbies. You should keep that in mind when buying a book.I made that mistake when a year ago whne I first started thinking about learning C++. I bought a book only to find it was for advanced users and the author expected that the reader had read his previous book on the subject. That discouraged me right off and it took me 6 months to get back into it.

    I am sure it is possible to generate a random code and then create the graphic on the fly. I don't know how to do that in php and I am sure it would run slower if it did. My guess is that there are hundreds of images that they have

    is the update page actually getting loaded? If so then the database updating is a problem with the update page not the page that redirects to the update page.

  15. it is working now...btw you should remove that screen shot it is 2.3Mb that will take a dialup user almost 10 minutes to download just hte screen shot.

  17. what is happening? do you get errors? Maybe try it with your domain and see if that makes a difference.

    You could create a number of diffent images and put them in a folder.Then create a database table to hold a image_id, image_text, and image_url.Then use php to generate a random number that you would use as the image_id. Then display the image_url and if what the user inputs is the same as image_text then they are done.Does that help?

    you can't update a datbase with JavaScript.what is the code that is being executed on onunload? Can you post your code?
