  1. try this instead background-image: url(buttons/main.jpg); no / at beginning.
  2. you dont need to do this background-image: url(/buttons/main.jpg); /*FF*/-background-image: url(/buttons/main.jpg); /*IE*/ My example had 2 different images...it was just an example of how the '-' affects the 2 browsers.Test it in FF and let us know of an incosistencies and we will help you resolve them.

    RSS feeds

you could write a script in ASP that when you hit submit to update the XML file it copies thecontents of the newly saved XML into the RSS file.Or you could have an ASP page that produces the RSS as output by reading hte contents of the XML file. I have seen this approach lots of times. It would be as simple as connecting to the xml file via ASP (no HTML on page only script <% %>), reading the contents of the XML file then doing a response.write fo the contents.
  4. This should fix it for FF....I left in the content I used for testing...it is really long so anything you throw at it should work. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" 6. do you have background-attachment: fixed in your code???? if you do this is the problem. remove it and FF will display fine.As you can do brower compatibility without using javascript ans iwthout creating 2 stylesheets.just do this background-image:url(pic.gif); /*FF*/-background-image:url(pic2.gif); /*IE*/ FF will display pic.gif while IE will display pic2.gifReason this owrks is the first line sets the image to pic.gif for both browsers but FF ignores the entire line if it begins with '-' but IE on ignores the '-' and reads the rest of the line setting IE to pic2.gif.That is a way to setup different values for IE and FF. I use this method when deealing with absolute positions in IE and FF since both browsers interpret differently so some differences are needed.Good luck.

    RSS feeds

even easier in ASP.Net Sub Page_Load(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Try ' Using a live RSS feed... could also use a cached XML file. Dim strXmlSrc As String = "YourFeedName" ' Path to our XSL file. Changing the XSL file changes the ' look of the HTML output. Try toggling the commenting on the ' following two lines to give it a try. Dim strXslFile As String = Server.MapPath("YourXSLStyleSheet") ' Load our XML file into the XmlDocument object. Dim myXmlDoc As XmlDocument = New XmlDocument() myXmlDoc.Load(strXmlSrc) ' Load our XSL file into the XslTransform object. Dim myXslDoc As XslTransform = New XslTransform() myXslDoc.Load(strXslFile) ' Create a StringBuilder and then point a StringWriter at it. ' We'll use this to hold the HTML output by the Transform method. Dim myStringBuilder As StringBuilder = New StringBuilder() Dim myStringWriter As StringWriter = New StringWriter(myStringBuilder) ' Call the Transform method of the XslTransform object passing it ' our input via the XmlDocument and getting output via the StringWriter. myXslDoc.Transform(myXmlDoc, Nothing, myStringWriter) ' Since I've got the page set to cache, I tag on a little ' footer indicating when the page was actually built. myStringBuilder.Append(vbCrLf & "<p><em>Cached at: " _ & Now() & "</em></p>" & vbCrLf) ' Take our resulting HTML and display it via an ASP.NET ' literal control. myLabel.Text = myStringBuilder.ToString Catch myLabel.Text = "<i>An error has occured in the RSS feeds.</i>" End Try End Sub
  10. sorry for saying the same as the post above...it wasn't there when I started writing.
  11. you only have 1 table. But I think I know what you mean...the space between the Columns???if you do this <table cellspacing="0".... That should remove the vertical space between the Columns.
  12. Skemcin, you are very wise. IE pretty much wiped out NN...hope fully FF will do the same to IE and then we can all sleep well knowing all users can view our site with consistency and reliability.
  13. document.location.href = a}}</script>--*</head><body> change '*' to a '>'
  14. lol. trying to get us to do your homework again???
  15. this article talks about all the arguments that can be passed to the new windowhttp://www.javascript-coder.com/window-pop...ndow-open.phtmlScrollbars are set to off by default unless you turn them on.
  16. E4X looks awesome...although it may be many years before it becomes widely used if IE7 won't even support it. We have waited countless years for IE7...it could be many more before IE7.x supports it.Even with the success of FireFox, IE won't completely go away...at least not anytime soon.Come MS...get in the game...we want Web Standards Compliance...like yesterday, not 2 years from now.
  17. I just PM'd you the solution...if you want you could post it here for others to benefit.Good luck.
  18. This should help you outhttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;EN-US;269074It is most likely to do with security. Running the DTS package manually runs under different security then when the package is a scheduled task.

    RSS feeds

I am not quite understanding you. You want to put XSL into your RSS(XML) file? They are seperate you can't mix the two. The XML/RSS is like a storage for your information...you make it into readable html by using an XSL stylesheet. If I am misunderstanding please correct me.
  20. Post your code and I'll debug it for you. There has to be something thats getting overlooked.
  21. Just be very careful when submiting things like credit card numbers and other extremely important data when it is not encrypted.
  22. sorry for the misunderstanding.well assuming your final incremented value is now in a javascript variable called x... and you have a hidden field(input type="hidden" id="xNum">) in your form with the id xNum you can do this document.getElementById('xNum').value = x; now this will be sent with the form to your PHP page where you can retreive just like any other form field.
  23. you may need to adjust the background-repeat depending on your imageyour options are background-repeat:no-repeatrepeat-yrepeat-xbackground-position:topbottomleftrightcenter you can also use a combination on positioning, eg background-position: top left;
