Hello, I joined a few days ago, not realizing there's a Welcome Forum lol. I've been looking as w3schools for a while now. I asked a few questions in the SQL forum that no one has replied to :) but I hope someone replies soon. If you have any questions about HTML or CSS I can help, i'm not very good at much else. But my HTML and CSS skills are very good.

Like me! :)Yes, but hi everyone, I am Synook, and, umm... I would like to try and improve my skills in XML and other languages in my time here :) I mostly program in PHP and HTML, CSS, and would like to be better in JavaScript :) though I can use it atm.

hi im Tom and i own the up-coming freeware site Frixoft Freeware (http://www.frixoft.uk.tp), previously clockwork, until i realised someone else was already distributing software under that name! I hav moved from ASPfree forums, because it seems that people there can't take a joke. I hope the community are much happier here! :) i can write C#, HTML, javascript and ASP, all of which (apart from c#) I learned here at w3schools.com

Hi, I'm Laura and I'm quite new to webmastering. In fact, the site I am now responsible for is my first real site although I've been interested in web design for quite a while. I have become fairly fluent with HTML and CSS (and have converted an entire website to XHTML =D) and am currently working on Java and ASP. Oh, and I really heart W3Schools, it makes it so much easier for me to act like I know what I'm doing... j/k... I think...

I would suggest XHTML -> CSS -> JavaScript -> PHP -> SQL -> AJAX.You can also do the XML tutorials (just learn them in the order they are on the menu in).

Thanks Synook, What sort of time scale should I give myself to complete this and be a proficient web developer? i.e. Being able to apply for a job or being able to set up my own business. At the moment I have alot of free time but I don't want to burn myself out. By completing the module you've suggested would that arm me with the necessary tools to do backend of sites?.....Sorry for the newbie questons. Peace.
